Ringcraft with incredible dressage friends

Test ride with a BD judge and fabulous trainers - to prepare your competition way of going without the added pressures.

Hack Up Bespoke's Alex Gingell is working with some fabulous dressage and event friends to support dressage test performances for the competitors. The Ringcraft concept started locally at top trainers and BD approved venues of Topthorn Arena, Okke Krol and Forest Edge.  Now we have spanned out to Grand Prix and PSG trainers out of the area following our three year sponsorship with British Dressage Eastern Region.

Antonia Brown is an International Event rider and National dressage rider. She began her series of Ring craft training days on the 24th January. Together she and Alex trained and worked on ring craft techniques for local riders, in the amazing indoor arena at Topthorn Arena. "It was a fabulous format, we saw some wonderful horses and rider combinations, as well as some young / inexperienced horses who were learning about new environments. The riders were given tips to overcome issues. Each rider improved with the advice and guidance given. This will help them further their results in future competitons."

Other friends, in the world of dressage, working with Alex include:

Okke Krol was the very first professional dressage rider to work with Alex to create a clinic structure that work brilliantly. Okke and Alex see the same thing, work to the same feels and get on like a house on fire! With Okke and his Dutch Dressage just 15 miles away from Hack Up Bespoke HQ, he's an extremely handy man to know.

GP rider and trainer Justine Armitage has worked with Alex in Shropshire a number of times at successful dressage and ring craft clinics during 2017. Justine is a t'hrough and through' Hack Up Bespoke customer and isn't afraid to tell everyone. Justine is a straight talking and hugely talented horse competitor and trainer, respected hugely accross the UK and especially in the West country.

GP rider Maddi Burchell (trained by Carl Hester) from Kent teamed up with Alex to do a dressage training and ringcraft session in Kent earlier in 2018. We had a Hack Up Bespoke talk to round things off in the evening too, so a fun and busy busy day!! Maddi is a keen advocate and customer of Alex's.

Nikki Barker words about Alex Gingell “Repeatedly I have seen Alex work wonderfully with horses, especially young horses and nervous riders, settling them, giving them words of wisdom and preparing them before their test, just as they walk past him in the judge's box." We're looking forward to a full clinic at some point as the first on was postponed due to Equine Influenza outbreak.

NEW DATE RE-ARRANGED!!!

Tahley Reeve-Smith “I just clicked with Alex as a judge from the first time I met him, I am learning more about bespoke and am looking forward to my first day training in combination with him." Tahley and Alex had a mommoth clinic at Keysoe EC on 18.4.19 that kept them busy all day. Within an hour of the last one finishing people were already putting their names down for the next one! This dynamic duo effervesced passion, enthusiasm and determination to catapult progression for everyone who attended.

GP rider Charlotte Thomas from the west midlands has been a Hack Up Bespoke customer from the outset and finally in March Alex made the 175 mile treck to Gina Machin's Acton Hall and had a full day training and ring craft clinic, working with Charlotte. It was a fabulous day and there's no doubt at all, many more of these will be planned at this venue.

Top trainer and competitor from Bedfordshire Emma Woolley worked with Alex at Keysoe in a very well attended dressage training and ringcraft clinic with standards ranging from prelim to Inter 1.

THE DAY

On arrival you will head to the working in arena, here you will meet your trainer and start a 30min session. You will be worked in and trained to your selected competition level. Then you will head indoors to the ‘mocked-up’ competition arena and meet your judge. You will ride your test as if you were at a real competition and a caller will be available for you , if required. The whole test will be judged and recorded on your phone where you will hear the comments from Alex as you see view your test – getting a unique listen into what goes on behind the glass on your competition day.

After riding your test, it is time to watch it back tand evaluate your performance.  Together, you and Alex will discuss your earlier training and work on developing the weaker movements in the test for the remaining 20mins of your session.  The whole hour will be friendly, positive and supportive. The energy Alex and the trainers have is always fun and upbeat. The aim is to support you and your horse, motivate you and help deliver your  dreams . The series of ringcraft sessions will provide you with support, just as you need it, throughout the year.
