Toni and her Nyala at Tostock Old Hall - Suffolk

We are grateful beyond words as Hack up really has changed our pony's life and ultimately her rider, who now has a wonderfully happy pony

We would just like to say a huge thank you to Alex and Jayne from Hack up, for our bespoke products which we recently purchased for our 21 year old Haflinger, Nyala. She had suffered a tough few years before we took her on and we helped her through sand colic which had left her feeling very uncomfortable and unhappy. She seemed to struggle with her gut and didn't want to be groomed or ridden at all, causing us much worry and stress. We really worried that she needed to be retired as she was constantly uncomfortable and seemed quite down. A bout of laminitis left her even more unhappy and she became quite bolshy and miserable. She was practically unrideable with very naughty habits. We decided to turn to Hack up for their expert opinion and informed them of all her issues; we were subsequently given our bespoke order tailored to her specific needs. Fast forward one month and Nyala is a completely different pony; she has lost weight, seems incredibly happy and now trots to greet us rather than flattening her ears and walking away. She has bright eyes, is now comfortable when being groomed and is no longer bolshy or aggressive. Most importantly, she is a dream to ride, no bolshiness or bad behaviour, no bucking or bolting, just a happy lively pony who seems so much younger than her years. People are now shocked to hear of her age and have commented what a friendly, happy and vocal little mare she is. We are grateful beyond words as Hack Up really has changed our pony's life and ultimately her rider, who now has a wonderfully happy pony! The facilities are amazing, it's such a friendly yard and we felt welcome as soon as Nyala arrived, plenty of lovely people to hack with, not to mention the amazing hacking trails, and I can even start riding her to work as it's down the road! Lovely arenas too, great jumps which are perfect for all kinds of riders, and Marie is always there and has been a wonderful help! Love this yard and makes me actually look forward to going to school and then getting the bus after to be there!😂xx
