Hot, dry weather = brittle, cracking hooves

Lots of refining is going on whereby us formulators are adding a hoof component (suitable levels and percentages of Biotin, Methionine, Lysine, Zinc, Sulphur and Calcium) into Calming and Joint bespoke formulas to promote strong and pliable horn growth. Use the Kevin Bacon topically daily throughout the dry spell to help keep the hooves moist.

 

Hot, dry weather = No grass

Brown dead grass has little / no nutritional value, so unlike in our usual summers you really can't simply turn your horse out and expect him/her to be 'just fine'. They need nutrition. If you're relying on hay and what little grass there is then for the hardier breeds this may do 90% of the job, but you can always add a little Hack Up Liquid Vit & Min to the hay to ensure all the necessary vits and mins are there for them. If you feed happy hoof or chaff of sorts as a means to get supplements in without the calories then we can create a bespoke powder with vits and mins comprised in it that you can add to the chaff, perhaps moistened with a little linseed oil and/or liquid electrolytes. Wet spring, hot summer = HORSE-FLIES

This may be one the hottest, driest and sunniest summer in recent history, but it has to be the WORST summer for flies too!!
