There'll soon be dressage ring craft and training sessions at Forest Edge with Alex Gingell and Caroline in the near future. These two are old friends and eventing competitors from years gone by and now they're keen to help local people progress quickly from a NEW and highly effective Dressage training and ring craft clinic.

The format is one that's been tried, tested and perfected by Alex working with Okke Kroll and Justine Armitage.....

"A test is ridden following a 10 min warm up which is judged (as in a competition). Comments are given for every movement and the comments in the bottom are very thorough. I then talk the test through in detail with the rider and trainer listening and explanation / justification of the marks given, and final %.

Then it's over to the trainer for 20 mins to work on the points raised.

Then the test is ridden again, marked as in competition again. Again, the comment boxes are full and the collectives are thorough. The marks added up and % calculated. Then I go through the test with rider and trainer justifying the marks and give a thorough explanation for their new % mark. Most tests improve by 5 - 8%!!

Not only will you get 40 - 45 mins of our focussed attention, but we may well get on your horse too if we think it will be beneficial. Also, you'll be able to sit in with me at C and watch others do their tests and quiz the comments and marks. We always need people to write and work out % scores too, so you'll be able to spend a good few hours learning."

Teffific value at £48 per person.
