BD BYRDS Camp

Carl Hester's Amy Woodhead with BRYDS novice winner Abigail Taylor

GB dressage rider Amy Woodhead once dubbed by Carl Hester as his “next Charlotte Dujardin” she drove from her East Yorkshire based yard to inspire the Eastern children and under 25’s with her stories of riding Carls Nip and Tuck and others. Her clear message was work, work, work and then enjoy the playing – riding.  Her stories of cherishing her time at Carls were heart-warming and she is now proud to have him as her mentor.

Amy then joined Mark Ruddock, Adam Smyth, Alex Hardwick as the days trainers lead by the most dedicated Eleanor Collins, Jessica Brown and Katherine Perry, Lottie Olson.  The BD East have been the innovators of camps over the past decade.  The incredible, fabulous team of dedicated, determined leaders have created a hub of dressage inspired youngsters, who fit into a large family feeling environment of support and training. FUN is the optimum driver.

Abigail Taylor was trained by Amy Woodhead and won both her Novice test. Katya Gingell, the daughter or the BD main sponsor Hack Up Bespoke, was also lucky enough to train with Amy and managed to gain 3rd on a pony she had only just sat on that weekend.

The Step In and Step Up with Hack Up Bespoke days are running every 6 weeks to have a go at affiliated or ride at a higher level for a BD judge, in preparation for you stepping up the levels in a test riding environment. Affiliated sign up costs are reduced if you attend a day.

The next one is: Sunday 19th November 2017 in Hertforshire – Oaklands College.
