As we're finally getting toward the end of this cold spell of weather PLEASE check your horse's flanks for weight loss daily. Certain breeds are particularly susceptible to prolonged cold with dire results. Give a few more calories in the diet to help them keep warm and supply ad-lib hay to encourage gastric normality.
