Jan Bonnington praises Hack Up and Dutch Dressage

The difference in Goldie has been amazing since starting her Toning / Joint Bespoke!

I have been riding for over 30 years and during this time I have owned several horses. I have always preferred cross country and one-day eventing. After knee replacement surgery those days are well and truly behind me and the only competing I am now able to do is dressage.
When I lost my horse very suddenly 3 years ago I decided that at 60 I was not going to ride again, let alone get another horse – I had also completely lost my confidence and really didn’t have any desire to ride again.
I have known Okke for 11 years and when I visited him at his new yard 2 years ago he persuaded me to ride a horse he had in for sale for one of his clients, it was not with the intention of me buying it but just to get me back in the saddle. It took a lot of persuading to get me on board (as I had lost my nerve) but I did ride her and had a few lessons and haven’t looked back. I had her on loan for a month before deciding to buy her (yet another chestnut mare). 
Although I have my own yard and facilities at home, I was determined to keep Goldie with Okke as he has always supported and helped me through some difficult times in the past. His facilities are second to none and Goldie is so well looked after by Okke and his parents I can’t imagine keeping her anywhere else.
In February, Okke organised a visit at Dutch dressage by Alex from Hack Up and with his help and advice we put Goldie on a toning/joint supplement for mares. The difference has been simply amazing!!! 
Around the same time, I had purchased a new saddle for Goldie as my old one wasn’t a good fit and we needed her to build up muscle along her top line. The saddle fitter came out after 2 months to check and adjust the saddle and was absolutely amazed at the change, she was wider (by a whole width) and was more even than before. She had changed along the whole of her top line, which was something the saddle fitter rarely saw. 
It has been a difficult 2 years as I lost both parents and my husband has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I can honestly say that at times I did feel like giving up. However, the support of Okke and his parents and with his help and training I am now back out competing, which is something I never thought would happen. I have no doubt that the Hack Up supplement has made a huge difference to my horse. 
I love going to ride her and all the other liveries at Dutch Dressage have been so very supportive. It is such a friendly happy yard with fantastic facilities where nothing is too much trouble.
